KATSEYE pulled back the curtain on their upcoming five-track WILD EP a bit more on Tuesday night (Aug. 11) during an intimate Spotify Klub KATSEYE show in New York. The currently four-woman group — both Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman are on breaks from promotional activities to focus on their mental health — hit the stage sprinkled with glitter in golden goddess outfits for the exclusive, invite-only fan event.

The select group of the 200 top EYEKONS on Spotify were treated to a special preview of the sultry new track “That Way,” a Y2K girl group-style jam that gave Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung time to each shine as they skipped their typically intricate choreo formations in favor of some serious stage strutting. And, for those of you keeping track, yes, it appears Lara has bangs now.

Designed around the vibe of the EP, the event featured immersive, album-inspired installations and a five-song performance from KATSEYE. For EYEKONS who couldn’t make it, exclusive video content from the set will be available on Spotify later in August. In addition to “That Way,” the set featured runs through the new EP’s “Pinky Up” and “Animal,” as well as previous singles “Gnarly” and “Gabriela.”

The EP is the follow-up to last year’s Beautiful Chaos EP, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, marking KATSEYE’s first entry into the top 10 on the chart. The lead single from the WILD EP, “Pinky Up,” has so far peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100. A second single “Animal,” debuted at No. 10 on the Global 200 on the chart dated Aug. 8. Co-written with Ed Sheeran, the new song is the group’s first top 10 on the tally, and according to Luminate, earned 29.8 million streams and 3,000 sold worldwide in week one.

WILD (which is also available in a Target-exclusive six-track version with the Lara Raj written/co-produced song “Unloveu” ) is due out on Friday (Aug. 14).
