Chuya Koyama’s Uchu Kyoudai (Space Brothers) Vol. 46 hits No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Book Hot 100, on the chart released July 30.

The volume is the concluding installment of the award-winning manga, serialized in Morning magazine since 2008. The title sweeps brick-and-mortar, e-commerce (EC) and e-books this week.

Debuting at No. 2 is the latest volume of the Square Enix manga adaptation of Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (The Apothecary Diaries), with three metrics landing in the top 10: brick-and-mortar, EC (No. 2 respectively), and e-books (No. 10). Tsurumaikada’s Medalist Vol. 15 follows at No. 3, powered by e-books (No. 2), brick-and-mortar (No. 3) and EC (No. 10).

Popular mystery writer Haruo Yuuki’s latest novel Rakuen, released July 23, enters at No. 12 in its first partial tracking week, topping the social media metric and collecting points across brick-and-mortar, EC and e-books. Its first full tracking week next chart cycle will be one to watch.
